Windows XP Pro.

I just removed (CP -> Add/Remove) 2.8 GB of unused program (.NET Framework).

My system still reports the same amount of disk space as was reported PRIOR
to the removal!

Rebooted, ran disk cleanup etc.

This is nutes!

Any ideas???

The net framework isn't 2.8 GB.

As it isn't a program it will never run. However other programs will require it to work.

NOT TRUE!!!

.NET components occuppied 1.44 GB. .NET framework SP and Fixes was another
1.4GB!!! The point here is not whether it was a PROGRAM, it was the issue of
unrecoverable disk space after REMOVAL. One should read the post to
understand what the question if!

In any case, Symantec SD took care of it...
