Bitmap Hyperlink Apears as White Box

I have a presentation created with Powerpoint 97 that has
hyperlinks associated with bitmap images. When we
attempt to open the presentation in later versions of
Powerpoint the images show up as whit blocks. Any
suggestions?

Do you have any ad-blocking or filtering software installed on the computer, or
on a firewall between your computer and the server where the images are?

Try turning it off or temporarily substituting images of a slightly different
size.
