Bitlocker and WD My Book

I use bitlocker to secure my hard drive. Can I use it to encrypt my western
digital My Book? If so can I use the same key? I currently use a usb key.

Not sure what a WD My Book is, but Bitlocker can encrypt external USB
drives. You use the same USB flash drive for key storage that you used for
your C drives.

This is a great feature because it means if you backup your PC files to a
USB hard drive, the backups are also encrypted.
