Bios Upgrading and Windows new hardware verifcation upon boot

I've flashed BIOS but upon boot I get a hardware
violation from Windows (because Windows thinks its on a
different machine and will not boot). I solved this
problem by reflashing the bios back to the original
version and statred the system (it is up and running).

But that does not solve the problem of upgrading the bios
as required and restarting Windows with the new BIOS
version.

What do I need to do to work around this problem not
booting after bios flash?

What was the exact error message?
You may need to perform a Repair Installation AFTER flashing the BIOS,
but the necessity after a BIOS flash is unusual.

Repair Installation:

Windows Updates will need to be reinstalled.
Install Service Pack first and by itself.
Then install ALL Critical Updates no more than 4 at a time,

Disconnect the network/modem cable before starting repair and do NOT
reconnect the cable until repair is completed and firewall is
installed/enabled.
