I need to change a parallel port setting in the bios to
support an hp printer. When I hit the delete key during
boot it brought me the dos window but requested a
password. When we installed Windows 2000, we did not give
a password for the network or the computer. The screen
will not just let me hit "enter" to get to the bios. It
is demanding a password.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Nick

is this a laptop or desktop??

if desktop, just read your motherboard manual for bios
password clearing it's a matter of setting some jumpers,
if laptop do a search on google for cmos killer, it erases
the password on laptop cmos.

you will have to take the casing off and find the jumper
that says psw or pswrd or something to that effect by it
remove that jumper (computer off) turn computer on turn it
off agian and replace jumper. this will reset the
password.
