Bios does not see disk

Hi. I have a Western Digital 40 gb HD full of info in it. After a
Motherboard crash and replacement, bios doesn´t see the disk (actually it
freezes during recognition). I moved it to another computer, and it sees it
as 0 Mb.
I guess the volume boot sector is damaged ( the disk is spinning, no noise).
Any suggestion ?

Try the drive as Master on the Secondary IDE channel. Make sure that
this is enabled or set to auto in the Bios.

Still the same. Thanks anyway (I will try the freezer solution).
