bios/cmos

BIOS Settings are not Windows Version Specific. The BIOS information
resides on-board, and exists prior to and without any operating system.
Getting into those settings will be machine specific (Manufacturers are all
different) but is usually accomplished by pressing DEL, F2, F10, etc at
startup. Most BIOS' display how to enter setup if you watch the screen just
after turning the system on. What system are you working with? Compaq /
HP, Dell, Gateway, Custom built?
