When I click Send/Receive, messages are sent but as soon as it starts to
receive, the programme throws up an error message that says "Microsoft
Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience". It then shuts down. This happrens every time, therefore I
can't receive any messages. I tried Detect and repair, then uninstalled OL
and reinstalled it, but the problem is still there. I am currently receiving
messages from this account on a different machine but need to get back to
normal on this one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

are you using a 3rd party program to scan for viruses or spam? If so,
disable it.

Thanks Diane, I've just disabled it (Panda Antivirus) but unfortunately the
problem still remains. Might there be something else I can try?
Thanks, Steve
