big problem

HI, i have windowns xp professional and recently after
about 10 mins after being on the net, a message will come
up say fault 1073741819 , then somethign to do with
lsass.exe and the sytem will automatically shut down in 1
minute. does anyone know how i can resolve this

Have you applied the latest security updates, and run up-
to-date antivirus software? (If so, ignore the rest of

Don't want to alarm you.. I might be wrong.. so take what
I say with a grain of salt.

Your computer may be infected with the Sasser worm, which
exploits a vulnerability in LSASS.

you have the sasser worm,go to www.mcafee.com and down
load the stinger tool to remove it.

There is also a new variant of the sasser worn discovered today W32.Sasser.B.Worm discovered today which was not detected and removed by the Symantec M32.Sasser.Worm removal tool, but instructions for the removal of this worm is on the symantec.com web site and there is virus scan software which can detect the worm.
