BIG problem: sharing function in right click in Windows Explorer does not work

I'm trying to share my HDD but when I right-click on the C: drive in My
Computer and click on "sharing...", it doesn't do anything. The
'Properties' function doesn't work either.

I looked for a solution in the web and someone suggested Right clickinging
My Computer, Manage, Storage, Disk Management, right-click C:, Properrties,
Tools, Check Now, Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
Unfortunately, the 'Properties' in this last step does not work either.

What could the problem be?

I uninstalled Norton Personal Firewall and the problem was gone.
