Big Problem! Please Help!

My laptop (XP Home) restarted for no reason, and once it came back, it goes
to the login screen. I've never used a login or password. The screen looks
like the screen you get when you come out of standby but without a box icon
to click on. It always said "owner" and never had a password. So I hit
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but it just gives me a login box. I've tried everything,
but it will not let me in. I also tried starting it in safe mode, but it
just gives me the same screen within safe mode. What's up?

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue. Very frustrating.

Hi annyong,
How long you have the PC,try to take out the CMOS Battery out to clear any
passsword, after unplug the Power cable from the case do that and try n't
poke around in your Motherboard because you will fry it if you have any
Static charge in your body, just the battery,or replace the battery with a
new one, try this first( start in Last Good Known Configuration Start Up).
Hope that helps, please write back to the group.

Thanks. I tried to do that, but it didn't work. Still doing the same thing.
I don't have a new battery so I couldn't try that. Any other suggestions???

Hi Annyong,

Try this when you Represented with Menu type Administrator, then leave the
Password Blank,if n't try to go to save mode and delete any account
there, then Reboot and create new one,but the question is ? did anybody else
using your PC.
please let me know if that works.
Good Luck
