BIG Bug

I dont know whether this is MS's problem or Nvidias.
I i upgrade from XP to RC1, i ran the upgrade adviser, it said i could run
erverything sept TV (cos i dont have a tunner card), so i installed thinking
i would be up and running Aero soon.
When Vista booted up for the firt time hitch free, everything went fine
except that i had the classic UI. I thought ok im still using Xp drivers for
my Gainward 7600GT 256MB, so i download Nvidias beta drivers.
in the middle of installation a brown command prompt window came up and the
computer wouldnt respond.
So i reboot, i boot up normally, i get the boot screen (would be nice it it
had a pic on it), i get the logo noice, but the i get a black screen...
I try to boot up in Safe Mode, it works, i redownload the XP drivers, they
dotn work, cos they recon im on Linux or Mac - not windows - so i thougt i
should try reverting back to XP.
I can "downgrade" in the OS, so i boot up with the disk (after Vista install
XP's is really bad) it wants to delet vista so i let it go and install
itself, but i cant it refuses to install some file.
I taking my computer to the shop to day and getting them to do em both with
the right drivers in duel boot... and its costing me $50 (AUD). This should
be fixed, NOW, if it Nvidias fault ill post this on there website too.
Im soo glad i backup all my stuff on my other pc (where im writing from now).
Thanks all, from what i saw of vista before it died it looks pretty good.

I would say it is the beta drivers you installed. Both ATI and nVidia are
having trouble with their drivers. For my Radeon x1600, I just use the
drivers that Vista installed and they work fine. 3D and all.
