Best way to weed out duplicates

I am looking for the best way to weed out duplicate
entries in a field. I have a text file I'm importing into
a table in Access, and I want to find any duplicates and
mark them. I was thinking I could use a checkbox
(something like a column labled "Duplicate"), but I wasn't
sure how to use Access to find the duplicates listed. Any
help is greatly appreciated.

Not exactly what you describe but may get you most of the way there.

Once you've got it right you can set it up for the import data so you just
run the delete query after import and before transferring data.
