Best way to set up profiles for deployment?

Hi,

I am new to Outlook and Exchange and need to set up profiles for a large
number of users so that when they log in and click on Outlook it
automagically configures it for them. I have created a .prf file which
appears to work to an extent however I wish to customize it further so I
can specify the default reminder times and default mail font used etc etc.
Am I right in thinking that the only way to do this is to use the Office XP
Resource Kit and create an OPS file using the Profile wizard and then apply
that to each PC after the users profile has been created by them running
the .prf file?

I have tried this method and most of the settings appear to set however
fonts remain unchanged - why is this?. Is there a way to specify all the
default settings i need in the .prf file or do I have to apply a
seperate .ops file after the profile has been created?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Just so you don't get confused: The .ops file has nothing whatsoever to do
with Outlook mail profiles, which are what the .prf configures. The .ops
file would, however, contain settings for options such as those in Tools |
Options, which you can generally also set with the other screens in the
Custom Installation Wizard. You would deploy it with your .mst file for
installation installtion or do an update .mst with the Custom Maintenance
Wizard.

Could you elaborate on the Custom Maintenance Wizard? I have not heard of
that where can I get it from? is it part of the resource kit?

It's part of the RK and works almost exactly like the Custom Installation
Wizard, only it's for existing not new installations.
