Hi,

I have FP2002 and have been given a site of maybe 100 pages and asked to
delete many of them and links to them, leaving just a few.

With normal html I know how to do this, but with FP and it's extns etc.,
I am not sure.

What is the best way to reduce the site as asked, but to keep its integrity.

Thanks

Deleting pages opens up a can of worms with links.
I'd start with a brand new site and work from there.
It's not too hard to copy content from one site to another especially if you
only have 100 pages.

It would be time consuming, but you could eliminate the pages and have FP
give you a broken-links report,. Then you could see which pages have links
to the deleted pages, and you would could edit out the links from those
pages individually. But if you are only going to have a few pages left after
the deletions, it might not be so much trouble.

.
Open your web. Go to Navigation view. Click on the page to
be deleted, in the little dialog box click to indicate
Remove from Site. On to the next. When you Publish
(recommend after every 4 or 5 deletions), you will be asked
whether you wish to have the page that is no longer on your
disk to be removed from the server. Say yes.

Thanks guys..

There are still too many pages, about 200, stacked with text and images
left to do them over again.. there is no budget for that either.

I will try the Remove from site and the check links options.

Happy Christmas
