Hi

I have to do a 900MB download. I have tried IE and firefox and they
don't resume downloads when I get disconnected on my dial up. I just
tried dap download manager but rapidshare and most download sites do
not accept download accelerators. What can I do?
I don't need to download fast, I need the ability to resume broken
downloads.
I am running XP home SP2, Dell p4 1.8 ghz, firefox and IE 7 browsers.

Thanks a lot

Patrick

Free Download Manager (FDM) :
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

I successfully downloaded ATI (100Mb on dial-up) and many files with it. Even in
case of power failure when download was running, ATI was not damaged and because i
downloaded ATI on dial-up, i paused and resumed the download many times (some
hours per day). The file location was manytimes changed on server and i just
changed the source location in file properties and it worked !!! It keeps the
download history, you can drag the links over the little icon to download files
and it can automatically place your files according to extension.

the sites that "don't allow download accelerators" simply don't allow
multiple simultainious streams/segments, but they should work ok if you
turn that feature off, AND if you resume your interrupted download QUICKLY
(the "download ticket" will expire in a few hours). I've had good luck w/
GetRight in the past.

Thank-you very good tip.
