Best Practice for Local & Remote Use

We have a Win2K Terminal Server and an SBS2000 PDC on our
network.
What is best practice for a user who has a laptop and
works evenly both in the office on the LAN and out of the
office on a narrow band connection?

Should they be joined to the Domain internally and run
RDP Client or use roaming profiles inconjunction with RDP
both in and out of the office.
 
They should join the domain and logon in the domain and remote in with RDP.
