Hi there!

I am looking for a good popup-killer for use with IE6 and Windows XP.
I heard about StopZilla, but it looks like not to be freeware. Maybe
it works for free as popup-killer. Anyone knows?
Or are there other real freeware with good rating to be recommended?

Thanks?

I use the Google Toolbar with good success. Easy to use and easy to turn off
where needed.

I installed it few days ago and it works very well.
No pop up seen since then.
I like also its other features.
Don't know if there are drawbacks.

Oops! It appears from the site that development was discontinued in
May 2002. I can't speak for the other two you may find via the link I
posted.

Still - works for me!

Hi Stephen!

Yes, I downloaded and installed it. Looks very fine.
There is a new site for it (http://sourceforge.net/projects/puk/). It
is "open source", and there is a new beta version yet.
So, I will be testing it.

Thanks again!

Schmeiß Internet Explorer weg und nimm Mozilla. Der hat sowas eingebaut.

My favorite way to squelch popups is to use MyIE2, which is an IE-based
enhanced browser. Works great. I seldom see a popup.

Redundant if you use MyIE2! :)

Prox does so many things other than just block popups. I have been using it
with the JD List config settings and I don't even see any ads, let alone
popups.

What's an ad? ;-)
