I have to agree. I've had AVG for quite awhile (almost 2 yrs). It kept me
free and clear through the e-mail spam/worm/virus onslaught a few weeks ago.
I received over a hundred infected e-mails a day for a week or so during
that time and not one of the filthy boggers got through
There are a number of programs far better at detection and removal of
viruses. However, they're usually not free. Then again, I understand
that AVG won't always be free either.
I would recommend KAV or Nod32. Either one is better than AVG.
I have been using AntiVir Personal Edition -- a free download that has
worked pretty well so far. Avaliable at http://www.free-av.com. Anybody
have experience with this program?
