Best anti trojan software

I use nav 2003 pro but i'm wondering do i need a specific trojan defence ?

any ideas welcome

i use lavasoft now and again for spyware
and been experimenting with spy sweeper

also

Q) what about macros in word docs - i think pdfs are safe ?

AVs are getting better and better at dealing with other than
self-replicating malware which was their original purpose.

....but it doesn't hurt to have more than one tool in the box.

There was an exploit in the full blown "Acrobat", but using the
'reader' was evidently safe. Pdfs are as safe as the software
used to read and display them.
