Benq Flatbed Scanner

Tim Hagedorn

I have a Benq Flatbed Scanner 640u and I am running
Windows XP. When the "Found New Hardware" window comes
up, it says that "Benq Color Flatbed Scanner 340u/640u
has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its
compatibility with Windows XP."

Does this mean I am not able to use this scanner with
XP???

Thank you

http://www.benq.com/drivers/imaging_drivers.html does not
list an XP driver.

Correction, there is a driver listed, just missed seeing it.

Well, it is supposed to mean that, but many vendors are supplying XP
drivers that do not have MS certification. The usual advice is to
ignore the warning.
