Below the address bar on my home page I have a
search the web and various sites to go to. If I right click I have an option
"Spider Search .com bar. If I uncheck it; it goes away but if I restart my
home page it is there again. How do I permanently uncheck it?

Hi Mike,

Get ToolbarCop:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/ToolbarCop.exe

ToolbarCop removes the Toolbars, Toolbar buttons and unwanted
menu-extensions from Internet Explorer. It does not remove the spyware from
the system entirely. It is advisable to run Ad-Aware scan
(www.lavasoftusa.com), if the toolbar entries are not removed.

Mike,

Spider is spyware. SWI Forums is a good place to get help for that.
You'll run Spybot S&D and HijackThis (both free). Start here for
instructions:
