It's a good basic self-study to start with.

A couple of others which take you deeper into Access after getting you
started are:

Microsoft Access 2003 Inside Out, by John Viescas, pub. by Microsoft Press

Special Edition Using Microsoft Access 2003, by Roger Jennings, pub. by Que

I haven't looked at a recent copy, but the Microsoft Access Bible, by Prague
and Irwin used to be a good book.
