Please recommend a good book/guide

I am a beginner but like to go with Access Database programming with VB
script, please recommend a good book/guide to accomplish my aim.

You don't give a version, but the most often recommended books on Access
using VBA (not VB script which is a scripting language) is:

The Access Developer's Handbook by Ken Getz, Paul Litwin, et. al.

Dear,

thanks for your quick reply, I have an access97 based program but not sure
with VBscript or VB, I have converted the database to Access2003 format and
need to make some changes to the program. Now how can I know whether it is
created under VB or VBscript -is there any way?

Please advise

The only direct language that Access supports is VBA (Visual Basic for
Applications) VBScript is supported withing VBA by setting a reference to it
and using its methods. There is virtually no chance that anything more than
a few routines would use VBScript unless you had a web front-end.
