When I am on the web and my speakers are turned on.
periodically there's a beep. I have disabled all sounds
found under windows control panel. I have checked all my
other programs and have dsiabled any sounds. I have gone
into my bios and disable the sound. But still the beep
continues. Has anyone had this problem and how did you
handle it?

Thanks for your help.

Windows has a setting called "Beep on Error". If you look in
the Microsoft Management Console, Event Viewer - check
both System and Application logs. Look for any Red icons.
Double-Click each one to read a description of the error.
Every error should have an associated entry in either of those
event logs.

MMC can be accessed by Right Clicking on My Computer
and then Left click the option Manage.

Your computer is trying to tell you something, What I don't know look in your manual.
Beeps are an error msg of sometype.
The only BEEP codes your computer emits are mainly during boot. The
only other time the hardware may cause a beep is if the CPU is
overheating, causing the computer to set off a hardware beep. It
won't come over the speakers, though - those sort of beeps come over
the built-in computer speaker, which is in the case.

Hi,

This is common especially if you have the Google toolbar installed. It is
just a beep to let you know a pop-up was disabled, etc.
