This is a FYI for others that encounter the following error.
Background:
I have a Dell Latitude D600 and was uninstalling applications to test a
Windows XP to Windows Vista upgrade. After uninstalling four
applications and rebooting as recommended by the Windows Vista Upgrade
Advisor, I got the following error at the Windows log in screen.
Error:
bcmwltry.exe
This application has failed to start because MFC71.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Resolution:
1. Boot into Windows Safe Mode (May or may not need to do this)
2. Open Add/Remove Programs
3. Uninstall "Dell Wireless WLAN Card"
