BCM Gone!

It appears that I had the Forms Cache issue with BCM.
Unfortunately I was unaware of the published solution so I
decided to uninstall and reinstall BCM. Uninstalling BCM
worked fine but a reinstall did not work. There are no
errors during the reinstall process, but the BCM
components don't show up in Outlook. I have also removed
BCM and reinstalled Office 2003 (Pro) and then reinstalled
BCM with the same (non-)result.

After trying these things I discovered the Forms Cache
issue. However, KB article 836558 requires performing
maintenance on the "Business Database" which is not an
available option on the File menu.

Any suggestions and recommendations will be greatly
appreciated.

1. Since you had BCM working before, I'm assuming you either don't have an
Exchange account in your profile or you've installed the patch, correct?
2. Check the registry key for BCM load behavior. It can be found at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.Busine
ssSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1
Make sure the value is set to 3.

1. I don't have an Exchange account (at this point anyway)
but I have clients who do. Please refer me to a KB
article about this patch if you don't mind.

2. The BCM Load Behavior value is set to 3.

Any other suggestions?

1. Thanks for the links.

2. I created a new profile, but BCM didn't show up until I added it to the
profile manually. The additional menu items for BCM are not available
though. Also, it appears that I'm still having the forms cache issue so I
will try to handle that the right way this time (KB 836558).
