BCM freezes, uninstall disasterous, reinstall impossible

BCM 2003 froze on both my computers, had to uninstall, took all addresses
into its grave.
when reinstalling, teh process completes, BCM does not show itself in MS
outlook 2003 and on the menu the only options are "BCM Help" and "Tour".
Very helpful indeed
Anybody got any ideas?

If you killed Outlook when it froze, Outlook might have disabled BCM. Goto
Help->About Outlook and check disabled items.
