BCM and Outlook very slow

T

Turbo

Recently I removed Office 2003 replaced it with Office 2007 on my XP Pro
machine.

Everything seems to work OK except that Outlook takes atleast 5 minutes to
load up and often wants to close and then reopens in Safe Mode. I've tried
reloading Office but to no avail. I'm reluctant to rebuild the whole
machine. Is it worth removing Office and SQL Server and reinstalling them?
Any other suggestions please.

Thanks

it would be nice how many memory you running, how many available, processor
speed, HD speed, how many instances of db you are running, how uploaded you
processor during these 5 minutes ........

I had the same start-up problem on some machines after upgrading to
Outlook 2007, even on machines without BCM.

Here are some things you can try to make Ol 2007 faster:

I don't think reinstalling Office or Sql will make any difference.

I found that systems that were upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 had
performance problems, but systems with a fresh install of Office 2007 work
BCM much faster. Uninstall all office programs and then put on a fresh
install of Office 2007, BCM, and the patches. I'd go ahead and try the
re-install if I were you.
