BCM always Emails Two Meeting Requests to Attendees

Regardless of the sequence of events as to how I add attendees to an
appointment, BCM *always* Emails two meeting requests.
For example, I open a Business Contact, create an appointment, add my
partner and then schedule the time. Or, I can reverse the last two
steps. It really does not matter.
When I click on 'send', a message is displayed saying that the
attendees have changed and two outgoing Emails are generated.
Is this a sequence of events problem?

TIA.

You could try saving the appoinment before clicking send, and see if
that makes any difference.

BCM's involvment in appointments is storing link between the contact
and the appoinment in its database. Actually emailing the attendees is
done entirely by Outlook (and possibly Exchange).

You could try your question in the microsoft.public.outlook newsgroup.
