bcc field disclosure

Is is possible for someone to "look at" the bcc field list
to see other blind copy recipients. I have been told that
this is possible but I have found no evidence to support
it. It is my understanding that the mail server sends
individual emails to each bcc recipient therefore making
this impossible. Any thoughts.
 
Only if someone looked at the original message in your Sent Items folder.
 
It's rare, but some (usually old) mail servers won't understand how to
handle BCC *if* the TO field is blank - hence, always best to put your own
address in the TO field to prevent anyone from seeing who the message was
sent to. Rare, but it can happen.
