I am running windows 2000 on a laptop, My problem is that
the battery power meter does not show on the start bar. I
have tried but failed to displayed. I do however show the
power plug but when I remove the power cord it does not
show that I am on battery. Is this normal for Windows
2000? Please e-mail me with info reguarding this to:
(e-mail address removed)

Thanks Ray

I run a Sony Laptop which uses PowerPanel I have the option to remove this
program and the original application CD to reinstall the program. Not
knowing if your laptop is alike did you look for an application on your
original install CD?

I forgot to mention that the PowerPanel application is not an MS W2K
application it's a third party application. A google search or even a
search with your own laptop manufacturer may lead you to a download for your
laptop model like mine found at Sony online support.
