Do you mean you enter the "msg" command, at a command prompt?

If so ... it should work. Make sure the file "C:\Windows\System32\msg.exe"
is present on your system. If the EXE file is missing, then run the command:

C:\>sfc /scannow

This will replace any missing Vista files in your system, including the
missing msg.exe.

If msg/exe is present on your system but you still get this error message
.... well, that's weird. Try running the file directly from the System32
directory and see what happens.

Hope this helps,

I don't think it's available on Vista Home Premium... I don't have it
either.

Doh! You're quite correct, Dave.

I just tried it on a Vista Home machine, and there is no msg command. But it
is there on all m Vista Business and Ultimate machines.

So, no msg on Home edition.
