Basic and Easy Question

So, when you erase user accounts then all the information associated
with that account is erased also. Does this mean that the user needs to
back up all the files under that account and they are not automatically
saved in the system administrator's account also? Is there an option to
check to have all user account files saved in Admin. area or in a back
up area or must one manually back up information from User accounts if
one is deleting old user accounts to cause more responsiveness and to
make the computer faster by removing excess junk. Thanks in advance to
all replies to these simple questions and the reason that I am asking
because I am newer to XP and in 98 second edition --- all users just
usually used the same account and did not bother with different accounts
although they were offered in the control panel. There is a users
function in 98 Second Edition to set up and use multiple users although
I have not used it before.

Users need to back up their data separately. User data is only saved in
that user's account, not magically saved in a different user account
such as Administrator.

There is no option to save user accounts in a "backup area". You can
either do this manually or run backup software. I recommend Second Copy
from www.centered.com. I'm not affiliated with them in any way; I've
used that program for clients for years and it works well.

User data is not saved in the user's "account". Let's be clear on what
we're talking about. You create an account for a user so they can have
their own profile and permissions on a system. The first time that
user logs in, a profile folder is created under Documents and Settings.
By default, their My Documents folder, and generally most of their
user data will reside somewhere in the profile. If you go back and
delete the user's account, it does not delete the profile folder.
Likewise, if you delete the profile folder, it does not delete the
user's account, although obviously it will delete any files the user
had in their My Documents or elsewhere in their profile.
