bar code related URGENT

1) how to use TTF font for bar code generation. I need the
procedure. I am using the compact framework for
development (C#). I am looking for step by step
instructions. I want to print the generated BAR CODE
not display on form. I plan to use the PRINTERCE.cf
dll by fieldsoftware.

2) i am newbie for pocket pc development.. hence looking
for elaborate answers: -

a) Can bar code scanning be done using the key board
port?

b) Where is keyboad port situated?

c)Does it come with all the pocket PC devices?

d) Do all the scanner support such functionality?

d)If bar code scanning is possible using key board port
from all scanners and for all PDAs,
(and from what i understand, then it does not require any
support of SDK for .net), then why there are SDKs
available for bar code scanning?

3)a. Does the thermal printer necessarily mean with a
seperate network IP?
b. Or can be attached to a PDA device.
c. If it can be attached to a PDA device, then does it
mean PDA device should have a seperate socket for
attaching it ?

4) a. The most important, Can ALL The PDAs be used to
support wireless ethernet as well as scanning options at
the same time?
b. If there is no in built support for both scanning
and ethernet connectivity together, can there be solution
to all PDAs like expasion pack mentioned in
http://www.racoindustries.com/symsps3000.htm

5) Anybody aware about the performance of HP SDK for
...net compact framework?

6) Can there be possibility of SCANNING, PRINTING and
WIRELESS ethernet card support (presence of sockt)on a
single PDA device.. for all types of PDA (not only of one
type of devices).

7) Does this all necessarily indicate to got for SYMBOL?

I have given a lot of time for above questions and too
confusing answers for it.

Please looking for answers of all questions.

thanks a lot in advance

This isn't a copy of the same question asked a short time ago, is it?

2)

a) If there is a keyboard port, there are scanners which will plug into it.
Our devices, which are *not* PPC, do this.

b) Read the manual for your hardware. If it doesn't show a keyboard port,
there isn't one.

c) As far as I know, Pocket PC devices don't, generally, have PS/2 keyboard
ports.

d) Of course not. Some scanners have serial output, some emulate the old
barcode wands that used to exist, some have keyboard output, and there may
be other types.

3)

a) No. If the printer is on an IP network, it will have an IP address, but,
if it's connected with a serial cable, of course it doesn't have an IP
address.

b, c) The answer to this is going to require you to get specific about which
PPC you are talking about.

4)

a) No.

b) Yes, there *can* be anything. If you are who I think you are, you need
to settle on what devices you are going to support and figure out how to do
it correctly, rather than trying to find some simple, 5-minute solution that
will work in all circumstances.

5)

6) *Obviously* not. Think about what you're asking. Can every desktop
computer wireless Ethernet, barcode scanning, and barcode printing? Well,
given that there are PCI slots in most computers, you can probably approach
this, but, even in that highly flexible case, you wouldn't do it the exact
same way on every desktop computer out there.

7) Symbol is not the only choice, no. If you don't already have devices,
start thinking about where and how the devices that you will choose will be
used. If they are all handheld, then maybe you should see if you can get
wireless on them all. A single server could then arrange to receive
information from each one and print barcodes on any number of printers
located virtually anywhere. Maybe you should talk to one of the many VARs
and integrators that deal with warehouse management systems, material
tracking, and so on and handle barcodes every day...
