Bar Code Reading in DB???

I have to put together a db that will receive data from a bar code via bar code reader. Does anyone know if this is possible? Or does anyone know where i can go to find out how this is done. I am perplexed.....

Hi Paige:

Yes, it is possible. There are numerous types of barcodes and barcode
scanners. One type of scanner simply sends the barcode number to the
computer as if it had been typed in at the keyboard. Barcodes can be printed
using a barcode font. There is more info at the following link:
