banners for events in colours other than white

I'd like to highlight my various mulit-day events using colours. The default
seems to be white - I'm using Outlook 2003 - which results in an calendar
without readily distinguishable projects at a glance.
How can I change the colour?

Thanks Judy...problem with this solution is that I rapidly use up all the
labels for my projects, and then this causes confusion when I actually want
to use a label especially if I've re-named the labels! There's not way to
customise and add more labels is there?
