My daughters PC is running XP Home and when any url is
typed into the IE browser it also says at the bottom that
it is finding site - badurl.ieplugin.com. No site ever
comes up. Any idea?

Hi -

Looks like your daughter has picked up a bit of spyware.
My first choice would be to download Ad-Aware from

http://www.lavasoftusa.com

or Spybot Search and Destroy from

http://www.safer-networking.org

(or both). Both are free downloads.

Failing that, there are manual removal instructions at

http://ww2.ieplugin.com/uninstall2.html

but I'd be a little skeptical of running a program from
the company that put the spyware on my PC in the first
place - rather than run their uninstall program I think
I'd use the manual removal instructions.

Good luck -

Thanks for the info - cheers!
