During the last few weeks I get every night 4 to 5 times the message:
bad_pool header on a blue screen.

What happens, windows XP stops and then I get a black screen followed by a
blue screen with the message bad_pool header and a lot more text what ik
cannot read, because Windows XP is starting up.

Today I installed Windows XP Pro with service pack 2 complete new on a
completely formatted disc. I only installed windows XP, ethernet driver,
internet connection and I installed the drivers of my videocard NVidia 6800
LE.
Furthermore I installed the driver of the webcam.

Tonight it happened again, I got again a black screen, windows stopped, then
a blue screen with the message bad_pool header.

Can anyone tell me what this mean and what I can do to solve this problem.

Rob

You might try setting the indexing service to manual (enter services.msc in
the run box) but likely it is a hardware or driver issue. Look in "Events
Viewer" and see if you can find the source of the error. Also, you can
disable "automatic restart" and which will allow you to read the BSOD (blue
screen of death) [Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery -
under "System Failure" untick "Automatic Restart."]
