When I log into Windows XP Professional I get the
following two error messages: The application or DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\VXDIF.DLL is not a valid Windows
image. Please check against your installation diskette. And
then in background it is couting down to shutdown the
system. I initially thought it was the blasterworm, but
when I noticed that as soon as I logged into the computer
it would give me the above listed error message. If you
know anything of this problem could you pleasse let me
know.

I just did a search for this file. Its not
part of XP. Must be something you installed
after. Open My computer then Tools/Folder Options/
show hidden files and then search for this
file. Highlight it and right mouse/properties

See who made it. You could also try going to
run and type msconfig. Then startup. Does that
file appear here anywhere? If it does untick it. Then
OK then reboot.. And are you using something
like an Alps touch pad?
