Bad Hard Drive

This is continuation of earlier post today...I have disconnected my floppy
drive and cd drive...perhaps I'm trying to boot from only a bad hard drive
and should connect my other drives first.

Theres no point, and indeed its unwise, to attempt to use the problem drive
to boot from

Connect all hardware, then set your boot options to Cd first, HD second, and
A: third. Try running Windows setup CD. If your PC will boot to the CD, then
it may not be that bad. Also, System tools may be worth a try.
