Bad colours in oulook with lcd monitor?

Hi
I just bought a new lcd monitor and in comparison to my crt the colours in
outlook are pale, in some places you can see pixels and when a scroll the
background colour twinks a bit.
In webpages the colours are perfect.

Solution?

I am also not completsly satisfied with small text in office programs, have
tried cleartype and it made a huge difference but I am still not completely
satisfied, the text kind of "floats together".

See the specs of your LCD screen. Many of them will only perform optimally
(displaying colours and letters correctly/smoothely) when configured in
their highest possible resolution. Also make sure you have installed the
correct driver for the monitor and the correct colour profile for optimum
result. If both your monitor and PC have a DVI connection; use it.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer, it took a while for me to respond because the mail in
my new gmail adress is not POP forwarded consistently.

I have set the settings according to instructions and installed the correct
driver BUT I am using a analoge (?) cable so that might be the problem. I
have ordered a DVI since I have that possibility on the monitor.
