I did a foolish thing i stopped the computer in the middle
of restore computer to earlier date and now it wont even
load it gets as far as checking drives and things but that
is it i tried putting windows xp disc in at start but it
does not do anything please can you help

Dear Ms Black,

Disconnect from internet, Reinstall XP, reinstall last service pack.
Obviously do not reformat so that you lose your backup file.

Rerun restore as before.

It would be a good idea to try a repair installation instead of
reinstalling over the top of XP as this can still result in loss of
data. To do this, boot off your Windows XP CD, choose to Install, the
setup will find the existing install of Windows XP and offer to repair
it, press R to repair, and let it go from there
