Backup

I am attempting to backup my hard drive to an external drive using the Backup
program in XP. After the backup completes I get an errror that I didn't
create an ASR diskette and that the backup was not successful. I don't even
have a disk drive. What do I do about this/

Nothing, it doesn't matter.The floppy automates restoring which home can't make. You just do same steps manually.

Thanks for the quick response. I assume having XP Professional doesn't
matter either.... the back up is good in either case?

You are doing an ASR backup. When you restore using this, which you can't do, you put the floppy in, it wipes the hard drive, partitions it, installs Windows, then restores the backup. You have to do these steps by hand (or just skip the first few steps if windows still works).
