Backup Utility in Windows XP Pro

Suddenly two strange behaviors appeared which I can't
explain or fix:

1 - Backup Utility does not appear in the Program
Group "System Tools" as the Help says it should, so that
in order to start its Wizard I have to go through a link
in the Help and Support Center.

2 - When I do so and execute a backup, the backed up file
in the target folder is an empty 10 kb shell regardless of
what files I chose to back up.

I liked Backup Utility and miss it. I couldn't figure out
how to work the first freeware backup thing I downloaded &
installed. Many thanks to anybody who has an idea of how I
might fix Backup Utility. Please don't say I should
reinstall XP!

Hi!David!
It should be here:-
under Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools.
If you still face the problem then:-
"Repair XP"
