Backup system state

i keep getting an error message that my AD failed to
backup when i run a scheduled backup for system state.

What could be the possible problem(s)?
 
Have you checked the system log? What is the error message and if there are
error numbers have you checked the knowledge base? Are you a domain admin
or in the backup operators group when you do the backup?
