I am looking for advice. It would be for a home PC and my personal files are
max:: 2GB.

I have Nero/InCD ver 5.5. The upgrade to ver 6 is somewhat steep in price:
US 49.99. I only need their BU and nothing else.

It would be to BU on CD/R. Up to now I was using MSBU but noticed that it
does not verify, BU to my HD and then copying to a CD/R. For OE I use the
OEBackup from Majik. There must be some good shareware on the market besides
Nero that can BU to CD/R.???? I tried a program that could not write to CD/R
but well CD/RW.

And what makes it so difficult for Microsoft to have their BU written on a
CD ? I am not computer savvy just started using a PC with Dos 3.2 and went
on up to WinXP. Where lies the difficulty? Am curious.

Thanks for your ideas.

Jeff

The best back-up for xp is the file transfer wizard,set to old computer,
transfer data to a new folder you create,when its thru,transfer to cd.It
saves all but system files,the easiest to reinstall,if you loose xp,reinstall,
then reopen file transfer,set as new computer.This will work even on public
computers you might use even if only for a few hours.
