backup scheme that allows for splitting data to dvd

There are many posts on usenet about backup tools and schemes.
Here I just want to ask for experienced users of whatever software
that can handle backing up to DVD directly and split data as needed to
make it fit, prompting for the enxt media as needed.

I'd like to here from users who do this routinely and know the software.

I have a dual/double density burner and would like to burn large media
files related to video editing where often a single file is more than
the 8+ GB the newer dvds will hold. I'd like to just aim it at a
diretory and the tool would burn away until out of room then prompt
for antother dvd. Splitting any files it needs to.
