Backup Question

I have a client using windows 2000 server. They have a Dell Powervault tape
backup. I am trying to use the windows 2000 backup utility to make a full
backup of the server to take off-site each night.

I scheduled the job and it runs fine when a new blank tape is used. When we
try to re-use a tape, the job fails with the message "No unused Media was
detected"

I have the checkbox labeled Overwrite existing media checked on the backup
job.

Does the user have to use media management console to erase the tape for
each use?

Try with /um parameter's ntbackup.
