backup on 2000 server

My application backup ( and command ntbackup.exe )
doesn't work anymore on my server

Is there a way to fix it without reinstalling the OS

My car stopped. Can you tell me why?

A little more information would be helpful.
What does the ntbackup log file say (Tools / Report menu).
What else can you tell use.
What Service Pack are you running?
What backup device are you using?
